Kintsugi – Original
This painting reminded me of the Japanese art of repairing pottery with gold, making the broken peice more beautiful than it was to begin with. I always felt this was such a good metaphor for my life, repairing my broken self after my trauma with gold to become what I am today.
Medium: acrylic paint, acrylic ink, chalk, oil pastel, watercolor pencil on wood panel
Size: 12” x 12" X 1"
